If you were not aware, the new Dual Core Atom N550 processor is coming soon to an Asus Eee PC near you! We will be going through the full gamut of releases which will start September 2010 and continue up until the holiday season.
The Asus Eee PC 1215P is interesting in that it’s the 12 inch Eee PC sporting the new Atom N550 dual core processor. Don’t be tricked. This model does NOT have the ION graphics.
As with the premium Eee PC models, you get 2 gigs of RAM, 250 GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium edition.
If you want to know the difference between the Asus Eee PC 1215P and the Asus Eee PC 1215PN, it’s a question of processors. The Eee PC 1215P has the dual core N550 processor but the Eee PC 1215PN has the dual core N525. Yes, the N550 is the newer dual core processor. The ION version, Eee PC 1215PN has the gaming abilities but that comes at a cost to battery life. With the Asus Eee PC 1215P, you will get amazing long battery life. It’s meant really for those people not looking to game or watch streaming HD content. It pretty much comes down to that. Gaming Asus Eee PC means less battery life. As we get our hands on these two 12 inch Asus Eee PC models, we can give you a better idea of the battery life differences. Stay tuned!

Just wanted to say that the 1215PN does not have the dual core processor, that would be the 1201N, 1215N, and the 1015PEM. I do not know of any others, but just wait, they will be here.
